The STLA has an informal Neighborhood Watch Program and has worked with the city to post “Watch” signs throughout the area. Although routine patrolling is not expected, residents are encouraged to be observant at all times and report suspicious activity to the police. Educational material and emergency contact information is periodically provided to members.
Non-emergency incidents should be reported to the police at 273-2121:
ü Give your name and address.
ü Briefly describe the incident – what happened, when, where, and who was involved.
ü Describe the suspect sex, race, age, height, weight, hair color, clothing and any distinctive characteristics such as beard, mustache, scars, tattoos, or accent.
ü Describe the vehicle if one was involved: color, make, model, year, license plate, and special features such as stickers, dents, or decals.
ü If you have a camera with you, take a picture if practical.
